Darren Payen

Bio

Darren Payen finished his high school career at Hamden Hall Country Day School where he was a 1st team All-NEPSAC selection for two years. There he was a 1000 point scorer averaging 18 pts, 11 rebs and 7 blocks, and is currently the All Time Blocks leader in a season. He then transitioned his career to University of Vermont where he started as well as came off the bench. During his play at Vermont, Darren earned the America East Sixth Man of the Year award in 2017. That season, his team held the longest win streak in Division 1 with 21 games, went undefeated in conference and won the America East Conference Championship to advance to the NCAA tournament. After Vermont, he went on to finish his playing career overseas in Spain for CB Benidorm. Darren is currently working towards a graduate degree in Athletic Administration at UNH.
